Today, my Friday Favorite is pretty self-explanatory. I believe in caring for yourself and treating yourself as often as you can. Today, I didn’t have to work, be anywhere, or adhere to a strict schedule. I was able to sleep in a tad bit (7:30am), meet a friend at the park for a walk, go to the gym, take a nap, clean the house some more, do a Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred workout and catch up on some Netflix. In prior years, a day like today would have stressed me out unbelievably, because nothing on my achievements today was considered “productive” however, I’ve come to really tune into self-care the last few months and believe a day like today helps to reset and rejuvenate so I can be a better me moving forward the next few days. While these are easier to have when my husband is out of town (as he currently is) and while we don’t have any kiddos yet, I’m interested to know how the wives and mommies out there squeeze in even a “me moment” with their schedule chalk full of craziness.
