Ground Turkey Sweet Potato Skillet

I’m baaack! From four weeks on the road for work, that is. We had absolutely nothing in our house to eat so as soon as I could find a few recipes I wanted to make, I headed to the store. This recipe has been pinned on my Pinterest board for a year and I have made it a handful of times. It’s delicious, healthy and grain-free for all the Gluten sensitive folks out there. While I can’t take credit for the creation, I can pass you all right along to the recipe mastermind, Primavera Kitchen.

My favorite parts about this recipe are that it uses only ONE PAN! It also incorporates some great protein with savory flavors of the onion and sweet potato. Primavera calls for you to top it with mozzarella, but today we tried half mozz and half feta…both get A+s in my book. I add hot sauce for an extra kick and serve on a bed of arugula for those extra greens. Click over to the recipe for everything you need to know for your own turkey skillet dinner.

Someone (me) cleared the shelves at Target for Pumpkin Spice items today… including the UFO Pumpkin Beer pictured. Which, to my not-so-expert craft beer opinion is a great fall drink when served cold. The pumpkin flavor is not overpowering and it’s not too heavy. It checks a box off my list for attempting everything pumpkin spice this fall season. I’ll definitely drink it again, but I would also keep it in the “seasonal” category as I’m not sure it’s summer-sippable due to the taste of fall in each sip 🙂

It retailed for $9.99 at Target. Here are the stats from Harpoon Brewery’s website:

I’ll be providing full reviews for the restd of my fall finds this week! It’s good to be home, if only for a week. XO.
